Facility rates apply to professional services performed in a facility other than the professional's office. Non-facility rates apply when the service is performed in the professional's office. The non-facility rate accommodates overhead and indirect expenses the provider incurs by operating the provider's own office. Thus the reimbursement is somewhat higher than the facility rate. |
