- 2006: For 2006, CMS modified payment for
inhalation therapy drugs using nebulizers, establishing a dispensing fee of $57
for a 30-day prescription for the first time a Medicare beneficiary uses
inhalation drugs and a $33 fee for other months. In addition, Medicare will pay
a 90-day dispensing fee of $66, a reduction from the $80 paid in 2005.
